The sudden flameout of the diesel generator set during operation will greatly affect the output efficiency of the unit, seriously delay the production process, and bring huge economic losses. The performance of the diesel generator set when flameout is different, and its reasons are also different. So what is the reason for the sudden flameout of the diesel generator set?
1. When automatic flameout occurs, the speed of the diesel generator gradually decreases, and there is no abnormal phenomenon in the running sound and exhaust smoke color.
The main reason is that the diesel in the fuel tank is used up, which may be because the fuel tank switch is open; Or the fuel tank vent, fuel filter and fuel transfer pump are blocked; Or the oil circuit is not sealed and air enters, causing "air lock" (accompanied by unstable speed before flameout). At this time, check the low-pressure oil circuit. First, check whether the oil tank, filter, oil tank switch and fuel transfer pump are blocked, lack of fuel or the switch is not opened. Then unscrew the air screw on the fuel injection pump, press the fuel pump button, and observe the oil flow at the air release screw. If no oil flows out, the oil circuit is blocked, If there are bubbles in the oil flowing out, it means that there is air in the oil circuit, which should be checked and eliminated section by section.
2. During automatic shutdown, the operation is continuously unstable and there is abnormal knocking sound.
The main reasons are that the piston pin is broken, the crankshaft is broken, the connecting rod bolt is broken or loose, the valve circlip and valve key piece fall off, and the valve stem or valve spring is broken, causing the valve to fall off. Once the diesel generator is found to be in such condition during operation, it shall be shut down for inspection immediately to avoid major mechanical accidents. It can be sent to a professional maintenance point for a comprehensive inspection.
